It is a space for respectful coexistence with the environment, where we aim to develop educational projects in the arts, sciences, and nature, accompanied by a volunteer program to achieve a multicultural and generational exchange, for the benefit of the local community's development. At the same time, implementing sustainable agriculture based on the principles of permaculture design. Located on the island of Ometepec, Nicaragua, a World Biosphere Reserve.
Permaculture Farm
Lots
Consisting of 10 lots to build an ecological bio-construction village, made up of a community of artists, artisans, naturalists, healers, and architects, a place where one can discover the secrets of humanity in relation to nature, holistic health, and different ways of living based on self-sufficiency. The lot sizes are as follows: from 1 to 5: 2,250 m2 (3,181 m2) and from 6 to 10: 360 m2 (5,016 m2).
In a quiet environment surrounded by paradisiacal natural beauty, we offer 10 lots and 1 lakefront lot, to build an ecological village. The village will be composed of a community of artists, writers, actors, artisans, naturalists, healers, architects, and biointensivists.
It is a place where you can learn the secrets of humanity’s relationship with nature, integral health, and explore various op-tions for self-sufficiency. The dimensions of the lots range from 0.6 acres (2,240 m²) to 5 acres (20,100 m²).
Base Camp
An eco-lodge with a projected 10 cabins will serve as accommodation for participants in the com-munity living volunteer program. Planned features include a communal ranch, temazcal, natural pool, kitchen-dining room, trails, fire pit, grill, and a botanic garden. Currently, we have a “back of house” and 2 cabins for long-stay travelers, remote workers, volunteers, and cycle tourists.
Gliffos School
This educational project aims to build a space for cultural encounters and the exchange of knowledge through science, humanities, English as a second language, sports, and the arts. People will learn and be taught to respect differences, both inside and outside the space, and to live and work together as a team.
Volunteer Program
With the aim of creating a positive impact on local development, we want to implement a cultural and technical exchange program for the communities of Tilgue, Las Pilas, Sintiope, Urbaite, and Altagracia. The program will teach skills and knowledge of daily tasks, such as: baking, nursing, carpentry, veterinary medicine, permaculture, tailoring, shoemaking, teaching assistance in public schools, physical education, crafts for the blind, training birdwatching guides, and educating forest naturalists.
