We are located on Ometepe, Nicaragua, a unique lake island, with a peaceful and quiet environment, surrounded by paradisiacal natural beauty: lush green fields, forests, wetlands, streams, a plantation of tropical fruit trees and precious wood, and vibrant, abundant, and rare wildlife.
SAN PIO LOTS offers land for the creation of an ecological village, composed of a community of artists, writers, actors, artisans, naturalists, healers, architects, and biointensivists. It is a place where the secrets of humanity’s relationship with nature, integral health, and various options for self-sufficiency can be discovered.
With a total area of 14 acres divided into 10 rural lots and 1 lakefront lot, with dimensions ranging from 0.6 acres (2,240 m²) to 5 acres (20,100 m²), we have the following infrastructure: access to the beach from the road via a cement track path (1.5 km), stone adjoining walls, municipal running water, cell phone signal, and optimal conditions for solar energy.

Since 2008, we have been established as a bio-construction collective under the concept of “EcoHabitar,” inspired by the philosophy and experience of Dutch architect Johan van Lengen (author of The Barefoot Architect manual) in the Latin American tropics. We work to provide com-prehensive, simple, practical, and understandable solutions to our clients. We have full control of the territory, its natural resources, and qualified labor. To date, we have built and designed more than 3,000 m² on Ometepe Island.
