Cesar Correa Oquel

A Nicaraguan artist committed to helping the development of the local community, Cesar studied Architecture (UNAN 1981) and Communication Sciences (UCA 1989). He has been a creator of cultural publications, tourist guides, and a professional photographer. In 2006, together with 32 photographers, he published the book “The Nicaraguans”, a documentary that captures the diver-sity of the country. He is a founding partner in 2008 of the eco-tourism farm “San Juan de la Isla” in Ometepe, which is recognized as one of the best hostels in the region. In 2018, he founded the art and culture school “Gliffos” to contribute to the positive impact on Ometepe’s children. Since 2022, he has led the development of the “Ometepe Space” project.

Mariangeles Lindo Jerez

Graduated in fine Arts and Letters from Universidad Centro Americana (1989) and an expert in rural communication, Mariangeles has been a business administrator for 35 years. She was in-strumental in the creation of the cultural time out billboard magazine of Managua “Guía Facíl” in 1990-97 and later became the editor of the tourist guide Nicaragua: 10 routes (2000) with re-nowned geographer Jaime Incer Barquero. She has extensive experience in product promotion and sales.

Valentina Weissenfluh

Both Graduated in Culinary Arts Management from the Culinary Arts Academy (DCT) in Vitznau, Switzerland and subsequently completing her internship at the seehotel “Kastanienbaum” (2008-2010), they later moved to San Diego, California (2011) to the spa resort “L'Auberge del Mar” occupying the position of pastry assistant and alex…… In 2013-14 they did a consultancy at the hotel “San Juan de la Isla”, Ometepe, Nicaragua, contributing to the train-ing of staff in hospitality services and in the design of the menu to raise the gastronomic and customer service level that the hotel required. Since 2015 they relocated to the state of Maine, USA and works as a baker at the restaurant “White Barn Inn” in Kennebunkport and alex…… and from 2015 to 2023 they works as a pastry chef at the prestig-ious Portland bakery, “Standard Baking Co.” and alex…… Now th ey are the owners of “Edelweiss Confections”, a bakery and confectionery focused on chocolates, desserts, pastries and Swiss-made breads, located in Biddeford, Maine, USA.

Sara Correa Lindo

With a master's degree in Construction Management from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM • 2010), she has worked as an Architect and Manager on various projects for Grupo Pellas Nicaragua such as workshops, social housing (Villa Génova), residences (Claro de Luna, Cuatro Vientos, and Mini Flat 402), and in the construction of the resort "Mukul Hotel & Spa" (2012) located on the beaches of Guacalito, where she was the coordinator of OS&E purchasing, Tres Ceibas Beach Bar, and Wayfinding Signage and Trails. Subsequently, she was responsible for interior design of the hotels: "Pacaya Lodge & Spa" and "San Juan de la Isla" in Ometepe. Since 2022, she has been residing in Guanasate (Costa Rica) integrated into the "Zapotal Golf & Beach Club" project as one of the project managers in the Amenities division. This is a high-end residential project, one of the most important in Central America, which features luxury amenities, including a golf course, spa, gym, and activity buildings that include a bowling alley and a movie theater.

Federico López Parra

Landscape architect with over 40 years of experience in design, budget calculations, construction management and housing developments, hospitality, master plans, civil works and colonial restorations. Graduated in 1981 from the University of Guadalajara, Jalisco and disciple of Bauhaus architect-engineer, Horst Hartung Franz.

Rafael Gutiérrez

Second generation farmer with 30 years of experience, he integrates key elements of modern and traditional farm-ing methods, applying them to banana crops, grafting fruit trees, vegetables, gardening, tree pruning, nursery de-velopment, planting basic grains, caring for poultry, and also has experience in managing agricultural staff, as well as in the transaction of agricultural products with local and Central American intermediaries.

Ana Saravia Contreras

Tourism professional, graduated from the Central American University of Managua (2018) in Tourism Management and Development, presenting her thesis entitled "Problems of Neocolonial Tourism in Nicaragua", later she did her professional internship at the "San Juan de la Isla" hotel in Ometepe (2017) as a receptionist and host. She has worked since 2019 in different areas of customer service and as technical support for digital products at "Microsoft" and "Epic Games". In 2022, she began working at "Complete Solar" coordinating and programming the installation of home photovoltaic systems for clients in the states of California, Utah, New York and Arizona. In 2023, she joined the law firm “Ramos Law”, specialized in personal injury, located in the state of Colorado, working as an intake spe-cialist, while also attracting and accompanying future clients throughout the process in: coordinating meetings, visits, paperwork for signing and follow-up.

Since 2015, she has relocated to the state of Maine, USA and works as a baker at the “White Barn Inn” restaurant in Kennebunkport and from 2015 to 2023 she worked as a pastry chef at the prestigious bakery in Portland, “Standard Baking Co.”

She is currently a co-owner of “Edelweiss Confections”, a bakery and confectionery focused on chocolates, desserts, pastries, and Swiss-style breads, located in Biddeford, Maine, USA.
